Preparations are in full swing at the Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) gets ready to hold its national convention scheduled for Tuesday, with the venue decorated in the party’s colours ahead of the major political gathering.

The ADC convention, themed “So the Nation May Work,” is expected to bring together delegates from across the country for key party decisions and leadership affirmations.
During a visit to the venue on Monday night, the Chairman of the Convention Planning Committee and former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, was seen overseeing preparations as workers continued setting up the hall to ensure readiness for the event.

Also present were several prominent members of the organising committee, including former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha, former NBA President Olumide Akpata, former PDP National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbondiyan, and former PDP Governors’ Forum DG C. I. D. Maduabum, among other coalition figures.
Party supporters were also seen gathering around the venue, waiting for the start of activities, while vendors sold refreshments and other essentials to attendees preparing to stay through the night.

The ADC was reportedly forced to move its convention to the Rainbow Event Centre in Garki, Area 8, Abuja after it was unable to secure approval to use Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome.
According to earlier reports, over 300 delegates are expected to attend the convention.
Key agenda items include the affirmation of the party’s National Working Committee led by David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, as well as discussions on a revised party constitution and manifesto.
