No fewer than 5,300 newly recruited soldiers have begun a six-month intensive military training programme at the Nigerian Army Depot in Osogbo, Osun State.

The recruits, who make up the 91 Regular Recruit Intake, were selected through a nationwide recruitment exercise and have now commenced foundational training designed to prepare them for military service.

During the six-month programme, the recruits will undergo rigorous physical conditioning, military drills, weapons handling, discipline, and other essential training aimed at developing the skills required of personnel in the Nigerian Army.
The exercise is part of the Army’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its manpower and prepare newly enlisted soldiers for future operational responsibilities across the country.
