NIGERIAN SOLDIERS RESCUE 17 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS FROM BANDITS IN SOKOTO

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have successfully rescued 17 people who were abducted by bandits in Kura Mota village, located in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The victims were reportedly kidnapped on Thursday after armed bandits intercepted two vehicles traveling through the area and forcefully took away their occupants.

Security sources revealed that military personnel swiftly responded to the incident, engaging the attackers in a gun battle. During the operation, several of the bandits reportedly fled the scene with injuries sustained from the exchange of fire.

The prompt intervention by the troops led to the safe rescue of all 17 victims and prevented further harm to passengers and property.

According to local security officials, the successful operation highlights the commitment of security forces to tackling criminal activities and protecting communities from armed attacks.
