A 50-year-old Nigerian woman, Olushola Olonade, has welcomed quadruplets—two boys and two girls—after years of waiting to get married and become a mother.
Olonade shared her testimony during a church service on Sunday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish, in the Ojodu area of Lagos.
She revealed that she got married on December 12, 2023, at the age of 48 after patiently waiting for a life partner. Following her marriage, she prayed that she would not experience another long delay before having children.
According to her, early medical scans during her pregnancy initially indicated she was expecting twins. Subsequent examinations later suggested triplets before doctors eventually confirmed she was carrying quadruplets.
Recalling the experience, Olonade said she was grateful regardless of the number of babies she would have, but was surprised each time the scan results changed.
She welcomed the four babies on March 6, 2026, just three weeks before celebrating her 50th birthday on March 31.
Olonade explained that multiple births are common in her family, adding that many of her relatives, including an aunt, were amazed by the arrival of the quadruplets.
Expressing gratitude, she thanked God for preserving her life throughout the pregnancy and safe delivery, describing the birth of her children as a remarkable blessing after years of waiting.
