# Nigerians React To Tinubu’s visit to watch the Super Eagles in Abidjan.

Dear President Tinubu,

Nigerians earnestly implore you to reconsider attending the AFCON Finals in Abidjan. Your well-being is of utmost importance to us, and the intense pressure of the match may not be suitable for someone of your stature. While we acknowledge your deep love for Nigeria and your unwavering patriotism, preserving your health is crucial for steering our country toward the fulfillment of your promises. The recent loss of lives during the semi-finals emphasizes the risks involved. We urge you to prioritize your safety and trust that Vice President will represent you admirably. Your presence is needed at home to address pressing economic matters. Thank you for your understanding. Dr. Olatunde Abayomi, Abuja.

*My point is that both the VP and President should not be out of the country at the same time, to the same location. Its against standing security protocol of any country. The players are already used to the Vice President and consider him a lucky charm so if he leaves the Super Eagles, Nigerians will blame you if we don’t win the finals.
The VP is representing you, Nigeria and the APC. He is flowing well with them in the camp. Please allow the tempo to remain. Soccer is a game of luck. Some leaders are lucky, others are not. Buhari was blamed for Super Eagles loss during his administration. We are doing well now, let us maintain the flow. Let the VP continue with his lucky streak, when by God’s grace Nigeria wins, he will bring the trophy home to you as the numero uno.
Please reconsider. Don’t let Nigerians blame you when you are trying to do something good.

Funmilayo Ifatunbi. Journalist. Lagos.

* Thank you for expressing your concerns, Funmilayo. I’ll make sure to consider the potential impact on public perception and the team’s dynamics. Balancing responsibilities is crucial, and I’ll take your insights into account regarding the VP’s involvement with the Super Eagles.
( expected response from Mr. President)

* As far as I am concerned this is a No No No.
What is the President going for? He has been away on vacation and has a lot of pending work to do here now especially as the people are agitated, Protests everyday everywhere. Suffering and hardship. It will seem insensitive to travel out again at this time. Try to do something positive about the insecurity and inflation. Your people are suffering and crying out to you Mr. President. Leave football for someone else.
Look at your Minister- that Akwa Ibom man begging for money for the Super Eagles from the public who can’t even afford three square meals a day. Imagine!!!! There is no money anywhere. Buhari and his people have carried all Nigeria’s foreign reserve, emptied the Vaults in the CBN, printed N23 trillion to turn our currency into toilet paper! We have problems. Please stay at home and be seen to be touched by the peoples suffering.
James Joseph. Banker. Cross River.

* Mr President, I am sorry, but I don’t know who is advising you. You need to get additional resourceful hands.
Whoever advised you to go to Abidjan when the VP is already representing you is a fool and must not be listened to again!!! The person doesn’t understand anything about governance. They want you to fail. They want you dead.
You need two new Special Advisers in my opinion. That National Patriots woman is sound. I hope you will get another set of strategists to add value to your team. Sorry to say but you are celebrating mediocrity now.
You need to deliver to Nigerians, Mr. President. Time is running out. Your detractors and the opposition have started their campaign now.
Get a few people to assist. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Please leave Abidjan matter abeg.
Aminu Bello. Trader. Kano.

* Thank you for your candid advice, Aminu. I appreciate your perspective, and I’ll consider the need for additional input in my team. The concerns you’ve raised regarding governance and public perception are duly noted, and I’ll strive to make decisions that prioritize the well-being of Nigerians. I’ll assess the current advisory structure and make necessary adjustments. Your feedback is valuable.
