#Ogun State Greenlights Reconstruction of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Agbara-Atan/Ota Road, and Five Additional Projects

The Ogun State Executive Council, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, has approved seven major priority projects for implementation. According to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, these projects include the reconstruction of six roads such as the Abule Egba-Ota/Sango-Abeokuta Expressway and the procurement of equipment for the Gateway Agro-Cargo International Airport. The Council also greenlit the reconstruction of the 5.5km Ode Remo Junction to Sapade (phase 3), the rehabilitation of Ayepe Junction to Mayflower in Ikenne Local Government, and the reconstruction of Adesan Street off Mowe-Ofada road in Obafemi Owode Local Government. Other approved projects consist of structural adjustments for the 19.2km Atan-Lusada-Agbara road in Ado Odo/Ota Local Government and the construction of Hospital Road in Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government. Hon. Akinmade emphasized that these initiatives will enhance infrastructure while road construction is ongoing. Additionally, the purchase of machinery and equipment at Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport in Ilishan Remo will enable 24-hour flight operations and expedite the airport’s international recognition. Palliative work has also been authorized at the Iyana Ilogbo bus stop along the Abule Egba-Ota/Sango-Abeokuta Expressway due to recent flooding caused by heavy rainfall.Breaking news HeadlineHeadline news
