The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has announced the passing of his immediate elder brother, Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi, paying tribute to him as a respected entrepreneur and compassionate individual who dedicated his life to serving humanity.
In a statement released by the Ooni’s Palace, the monarch described the late prince’s death as a painful loss to the Ogunwusi family, the Ojaja Royal Dynasty and the people of Ile-Ife.

Prince Adetunji, born on December 8, 1967, was a member of the Ojaja lineage of the Giesi Ruling House and served as the Group Chairman of Primewaterview Holdings.
The Ooni said his brother was widely admired for his visionary leadership in business, commitment to excellence and passion for humanitarian causes.
He noted that beyond his professional accomplishments, Prince Adetunji positively impacted many lives through his generosity, wise counsel and unwavering support for others.

According to the monarch, the late prince remained deeply committed to family values and consistently upheld the traditions and reputation of the Ojaja Royal Family through his humility and dedication to societal development.

The Ooni extended his condolences to the Ogunwusi family, the people of Ile-Ife and everyone affected by the loss, urging them to find comfort in the meaningful legacy Prince Adetunji left behind.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of his brother’s soul and for strength and comfort for his family, friends, business associates and all those whose lives he touched.
