#Presidency sends warning to Wike, Keyamo, others over non-performance

The presidency has asserted that ministers failing to fulfill their assigned tasks by President Bola Tinubu will face dismissal. President Tinubu, who appointed and allocated portfolios to figures like Nyesom Wike, Festus Keyamo, Dave Umahi, Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo, and over 40 others in August 2023, is determined to take action against non-performing ministers. Speaking at the technical retreat for delivery desk officers of federal ministries in Uyo, Hadiza Bala Usman, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Policy and Coordination, emphasized the president’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises. Usman urged delivery officers and planning directors to demonstrate dedication, highlighting the serious consequences ministers may face if they fail to perform their duties. She stressed the vital role of ministerial delivery desk officers as the engine room for providing feedback, tracking progress, and reporting challenges to the Central Coordinating and Delivery Unit (CDCU). Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, represented by former Permanent Secretary Olusegun Adekunle, reminded participants of Tinubu’s plan for citizen participation in governance and their role in ensuring ministries and parastatals meet their mandates.Breaking news Headline
