#President Tinubu Launches N35,000 Wage Award Initiative and Agricultural Mechanization Programme in Niger State.

President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the Food Security and Agricultural Mechanization Programme in Niger State, affirming his administration’s dedication to achieving food sufficiency and bolstering local industries for sustainable economic development. The initiative, led by the Niger State government, aims to deploy advanced agricultural machinery and technology to enhance large-scale agro-value chain development. President Tinubu emphasized the urgency of enhancing Nigeria’s capacity to feed its populace and generate surplus for exportation. Additionally, he urged sub-national governments to implement wage awards to alleviate citizens’ burdens until minimum wage adjustments are made. Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, commended President Tinubu’s support and outlined collaborative efforts to enhance agricultural development in partnership with other states and international financiers.
