Spain’s Pau Cubarsi, Rodri and Unai Simon were recognised with individual honours after helping their country win the FIFA World Cup, while France’s Kylian Mbappe finished as the tournament’s top scorer.
Rodri was named the tournament’s best player and received the Golden Ball after leading Spain to a 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final. The midfielder delivered another commanding display, controlling the tempo of the game and playing a key role in Spain’s successful campaign.
Young defender Pau Cubarsi was awarded the Best Young Player prize following a series of impressive performances throughout the tournament.
Goalkeeper Unai Simon also earned recognition by winning the Golden Glove after keeping seven clean sheets and conceding just one goal during the competition.
The Golden Boot went to France captain Kylian Mbappe, who scored 10 goals in eight matches to finish as the tournament’s highest goalscorer, ending two goals ahead of Lionel Messi.
Rodri’s performances throughout the tournament further strengthened his reputation as one of the world’s finest midfielders, with his composure, accurate passing and leadership proving instrumental in Spain’s World Cup triumph.
