The governor made the pledge during a meeting with the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Information and Communication Technology and Supervising DIG for the South-West region, Adegoke Fayoade, at the Lagos House in Ikeja.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that security remains one of the top priorities of his administration. He noted that the government would continue to support initiatives aimed at maintaining peace, protecting residents, and addressing emerging security challenges within Lagos and the wider South-West region.

The governor also expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, for ongoing efforts to strengthen policing and improve public safety. He commended officers and personnel of the Lagos State Police Command for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to duty.

According to him, the state government remains ready to provide operational support, logistics, and other resources required to improve law enforcement effectiveness across Lagos.

Earlier, DIG Fayoade explained that his visit formed part of efforts to assess operational readiness, review security strategies, and identify areas where additional support could enhance policing activities in the region.

He disclosed that observations and recommendations from the engagement would be forwarded to the Inspector General of Police to assist in improving security operations and strengthening law enforcement capacity.

Fayoade, who previously served in key policing positions in Lagos, praised the state government for its consistent support to security agencies. He described Lagos as a leading example of effective collaboration between government and law enforcement institutions.

The DIG further stressed the importance of leveraging technology, intelligence gathering, and stakeholder cooperation to tackle crime more effectively. He noted that stronger partnerships between government agencies, security personnel, and the public would play a vital role in safeguarding lives and property.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining joint efforts aimed at promoting security, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring a safer environment for residents and businesses across Lagos State.
