Vice President Kashim Shettima is mourning the passing of his stepmother, Hajja Hauwa Abba Kormi, who succumbed to a prolonged illness on Thursday, February 1. The announcement was made by Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications, via the Presidency Nigeria X handle. Hajja Kormi, aged 69, is survived by five children, numerous stepchildren, and grandchildren. The funeral (Janaiza) is scheduled for 4:00 pm today at Shettimari, Lawan Bukar, Maiduguri, Borno State. May the Almighty Allah grant her forgiveness and a place in Jannatul Firdaus.
