The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has affirmed its commitment to the implementation of the International Cargo Tracking Note (ICTN) by the third quarter of 2024. Barr. Pius Akutah, the Executive Secretary of NSC, shared this commitment during a visit to Dr. Kingsley Usoh, the former Managing Director of NSC. Discussions centered on trade facilitation, port efficiency, and the upcoming ICTN implementation. Akutah reiterated the significance of ICTN for enhanced revenue, cargo monitoring, and port security, targeting implementation by Q3 of 2024. The visit, which occurred on January 26, 2024, also included a courtesy visit to Chief Adebayo Sarumi, another former MD of NSC, where industry passion and continuous learning were emphasized.
