Stanley Osifo, a former presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has obtained the N100 million presidential nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
The businessman is currently the only known aspirant seeking to challenge President Bola Tinubu for the APC presidential ticket.
Speaking during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Osifo officially unveiled his presidential ambition under the campaign slogan “Metamorphosis 2027,” promising to address Nigeria’s economic difficulties through stronger security measures and disciplined fiscal policies.
The 50-year-old entrepreneur described himself as a committed Nigerian determined to help transform the country into one of the world’s leading economies.
According to him, his campaign is built on integrity, economic reforms, and a deep understanding of global recovery strategies. He added that national security and economic stability remain key pillars for development.
Osifo stated that his administration would prioritise sectors such as healthcare, security, water resources, regional cooperation, and economic growth.
He also denied reports suggesting that political figures or sponsors were financing his ambition, insisting that he is personally funding his campaign.
Osifo previously defected from the PDP to the APC shortly before the 2019 presidential election after expressing dissatisfaction with the PDP primary process, which he claimed excluded him despite fulfilling the party’s requirements.
At the time, he publicly supported the re-election bid of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
