The South-South Governors Forum (SSGF) has expressed support and solidarity for first-term governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who are currently participating in the party’s upcoming governorship primaries.
In a statement issued by the Forum’s Chairman and Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, the group commended the governors for what it described as visionary leadership and strong commitment to the development of their respective states.
The Forum noted that the governors have played key roles in promoting grassroots development and contributing to broader economic growth across the country.
It further highlighted their efforts in delivering measurable progress in critical sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
According to the SSGF, these achievements reflect consistent efforts toward improving governance and enhancing the quality of life in their states.
The Forum also expressed confidence that a second term in office would enable the governors to achieve even greater levels of infrastructural development and economic advancement for both their states and Nigeria at large.
