Fresh Bandit Attacks Leave Three Dead, Several Abducted in Kaduna Communities
Residents of Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been thrown into mourning following fresh attacks by armed bandits that left at least three people dead and several others abducted in Southern Kaduna.
The attacks reportedly occurred between Saturday night and Sunday, targeting Kurmin Gwaza and Sabon Gari Gantan communities.
According to local sources, the attackers invaded the villages under the cover of darkness, opening fire on residents and causing widespread panic as people fled for safety.
In Kurmin Gwaza, two people were killed while more than seven residents were abducted. Several others sustained gunshot injuries and are currently receiving treatment at nearby health facilities.

A similar incident was recorded in Sabon Gari Gantan, where one person was killed and others injured during the invasion. Some of the injured victims are said to be in critical condition.
Residents described the attacks as sudden and violent, saying the bandits operated for a considerable time without resistance before escaping with their victims.
The incidents have deepened fear across the affected communities, with many residents calling for urgent deployment of security personnel to prevent further attacks.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact number and identities of those abducted were still being verified, while injured victims remain hospitalised.
Community leaders and local authorities are reportedly gathering more information on the situation.
Meanwhile, some residents have expressed concern over what they describe as repeated attacks in Southern Kaduna, urging both state and federal authorities to take stronger and more sustained action to restore security and protect lives and property.
