Spain produced a dominant performance as they defeated Saudi Arabia 4–0 in a FIFA World Cup clash, extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches and strengthening their title ambitions.
The European side made a strong start, with manager Luis de la Fuente reinstating 18-year-old Lamine Yamal to the starting lineup after a disappointing draw in their previous match.
Yamal made an immediate impact, scoring early after finishing a precise cross from Mikel Oyarzabal inside the opening minutes.
Spain quickly doubled their lead when Saudi Arabia’s defence failed to clear a corner, allowing Oyarzabal to react fastest and score from close range.
Oyarzabal added his second goal shortly after, finishing off a move involving a flick from Dani Olmo to put Spain firmly in control before halftime.
The pressure continued in the second half, with Spain creating multiple chances. A powerful effort from Marc Cucurella led to an own goal by Saudi defender Hassan Al-Tambakti, extending the lead further.
Spain maintained full control of the match even after making substitutions that saw key players like Yamal and Pedri withdrawn. Saudi Arabia struggled to respond as Spain managed the game comfortably until the final whistle.
