The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has said it is possible that individuals working with terrorist groups may have infiltrated the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force.

Bwala made the remark during an appearance on The Link Up Podcast, where he responded to questions about the possibility of security agencies being compromised by terrorist operatives.
According to him, the possibility cannot be completely dismissed, noting that there have been past cases involving military personnel and police officers arrested for alleged links to terrorist activities.

He explained that such incidents are not unique to Nigeria, adding that similar security breaches have occurred in other countries. As an example, he referenced Edward Snowden, saying that even the United States experienced internal security challenges.
Bwala added that the government is implementing measures to address such threats but declined to provide further details, stressing that revealing ongoing efforts could undermine security operations.
