THREE NABBED OVER MURDER OF BRITISH-NIGERIAN SINGER

The United Kingdom Metropolitan Police has confirmed the arrest of three individuals in connection with the fatal stabbing of British-Nigerian singer, Mark Orabiyi, who was found dead in the garden of a property on Rayleigh Road.

According to the police statement, the incident occurred on Friday, when emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing. Officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and discovered the victim with severe stab wounds. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location.

While formal identification is still ongoing, authorities confirmed the deceased as Mark Orabiyi. His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

Family members described him as a loving and talented individual whose life positively impacted those around him, paying tribute to his character and legacy.

The Metropolitan Police said three suspects, comprising two men and one woman, were initially arrested on suspicion of murder. One of the suspects, a 27-year-old man, has since been released on bail pending further investigation, while a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were released without further action.

Investigators also confirmed that another individual, aged 20, sustained non-life-threatening stab injuries during the incident and received medical attention.

Leading the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke described the case as a tragic incident and appealed to members of the public for any information that could assist ongoing inquiries, particularly CCTV footage or eyewitness accounts from the area at the time of the attack.

Police investigations remain ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
