Suspects in Murder of Ex-OGTV Broadcaster Kitan Oyesiku, Security Guard Arraigned in Ogun
The Ogun State Police Command has announced the arraignment of the three suspects arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of former Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Madam Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard.

According to the Command, the suspects were scheduled to appear on Monday, July 6, 2026, before Magistrate Court 3, Isabo, Abeokuta, following the conclusion of preliminary investigations into the shocking killings that attracted widespread public outrage.
Headlinenews.News had earlier reported that Madam Oyesiku was found murdered at her residence in Agodo, along the Abeokuta–Siun–Sagamu Road in Ogun State. Her lifeless body and that of her security guard were discovered after concerned church members visited her home when she failed to attend a church service.

The police subsequently intensified investigations, leading to the recovery of her stolen vehicle and the arrest of the suspects. The breakthrough followed assurances by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Jimoh Olohundare that everyone connected with the crime would be identified and brought to justice.
Madam Kitan Oyesiku was a respected broadcaster and an alumna of Queen’s College, Lagos, and Holy Child College, Lagos. Her tragic death drew widespread condemnation from colleagues, friends and members of the public, who described her as a dedicated professional whose life was cut short in a senseless act of violence.
Reacting to the development, the National Patriots welcomed the arraignment as a significant step towards justice. The organisation disclosed that, following the tragic incident, it formally petitioned the Nigeria Police Force, urging a thorough investigation and swift action to ensure those responsible were identified, arrested and prosecuted.
The National Patriots commended the Nigeria Police Force, particularly the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, AIG Olohundare Jimoh, and the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, for their intelligence-led policing, professionalism and determination in tracking down the suspects and securing their arraignment within a relatively short period.
The organisation also urged the judiciary to accord the matter accelerated hearing so that justice is neither delayed nor denied. It stressed that anyone found guilty after due process should face the full weight of the law, noting that swift, fair and decisive justice would honour the memory of the victims, strengthen public confidence in Nigeria’s criminal justice system and serve as a strong deterrent to violent crime.
The arraignment marks another milestone in the ongoing quest for justice for Madam Kitan Oyesiku and her security guard, while reaffirming the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to intelligence-driven policing and the diligent investigation of serious criminal offences.
