TINUBU GIVES WIKE STRONG VOTE OF CONFIDENCE OVER FCT TRANSFORMATION

President Bola Tinubu has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for what he described as outstanding performance in delivering infrastructure projects across Abuja, saying the minister has exceeded expectations.

Tinubu made the remarks on Tuesday during the inauguration of the newly completed Transit Way N2, which links the Central Business District to Wuse District and includes two modern bridges. The project was commissioned as part of activities marking the third anniversary of his administration.

Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the President described the road as a major component of the FCT Master Plan aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving connectivity and enhancing transportation within the capital.

According to Tinubu, when Wike was appointed to oversee the FCT, he was given a clear mandate to deliver visible development, eliminate unnecessary delays and restore Abuja to the vision outlined in its original master plan.

He added that his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda was designed to produce practical results that Nigerians could experience through improved infrastructure and public services.

The President commended Wike for successfully executing key projects, saying the FCT Minister had not only met expectations but had gone beyond them through his commitment to infrastructure development.

Tinubu noted that the completion of the Transit Way N2 corridor represents more than the construction of a road, describing it as a significant investment in the future of the nation’s capital.

He also congratulated the FCT Administration for delivering the project as Nigeria commemorates the third year of his administration and the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Federal Capital Territory.
