Security sources said the suspect was intercepted at about 11:23 a.m. on April 22 by soldiers of the 192 Battalion (Mechanised), operating under Operation Hadin Kai at Forward Operating Base Pulka.

The arrest reportedly took place during a patrol and route clearance operation along key access routes leading into Pulka.

The suspect, identified as Abba Abdullahi, 37, and said to be a member of a local vigilante group, was allegedly caught transporting supplies from Pulka to suspected ISWAP terrorist hideouts along the Pulka–Wurutakure road in the Dure axis.

Items recovered from him include clothing materials such as wrappers, hijabs, and skirts, as well as household goods like detergents, rat fumigation tablets, food items, energy drinks, bread, and seasoning packs.

Military authorities confirmed that the suspect and the recovered items are currently in custody for investigation, adding that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist supply chains and weaken insurgent logistics networks in the region.
