Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has vowed to bounce back stronger after undergoing arm surgery, assuring club president Dursun Ozbek of his determination to help the team secure their 26th Turkish Super Lig title this season.
The Nigerian forward picked up the injury during last week’s Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield. He successfully underwent surgery at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital in Istanbul on Monday and was discharged the following day. He is expected to be sidelined for about six weeks.

The recovery period means Osimhen could miss several crucial league and cup games. However, there is hope he might return in time for the highly anticipated Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce on April 26 — a match that could play a decisive role in the title race. Galatasaray currently sit four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.
“If we win, we will be champions, my president,” Osimhen reportedly said after his surgery, expressing confidence in the team’s chances.
If his recovery takes longer than expected, he could return toward the end of the season, potentially featuring in the final league fixtures against Antalyaspor and Kasimpasa, as well as a possible Turkish Cup final if Galatasaray advance past Genclerbirligi.
Osimhen has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists in 29 appearances across all competitions. He also found the net seven times in the Champions League before the club’s exit.
Meanwhile, reports from Spain indicate that Barcelona are keeping tabs on the striker as a potential option, although he is not currently their top transfer target.
