National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) announces that the National identity card will be enabled for all government interventions and services across multiple Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
It will also be enabled for the eNaira in compliance with the EMV operational and security standards.
Eligibility: 18 years.
Expiry: While the identity card itself does not expire, similar to ATM cards, the ATM functionality of the card will expire.
Renewal: Your options include using the card solely for identification purposes or visiting your bank to reactivate it or request a reissue.
