Speaking during the presidential inauguration interdenominational christian service in Abuja as reported by PM News Nigeria, the outgoing vice president said Bola Tinubu can only succeed if he has the support of all Nigerians.
Yemi Osinbajo’s appeal comes on the heels of the legal tussle regarding the legitimacy of Bola Tinubu’s emergence as president-elect. Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party are currently seeking to nullify his election victory at the presidential election petition court.
However, Yemi Osinbajo in his appeal to Nigerians, said they have to support Bola Tinubu irrespective of the candidate they voted for. He said whether they voted for Bola Tinubu or not, they have to support him so that his administration can become successful.
Yemi Osinbajo said “I pray for the success of Bola Tinubu’s administration. We must all support the incoming administration to succeed, it doesn’t matter who we voted for or did not vote for.”
