###ROWDY SESSION AS SENATORS REJECT ‘BOW AND GO’ FOR EX-CDS MUSA

A heated scene erupted in the Senate on Wednesday after some lawmakers opposed a proposal to excuse former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and ministerial nominee, General Christopher Musa (rtd), from questioning.

According to DAILY POST, the disruption began when Senator Sani Musa, representing Niger East, suggested that the nominee be allowed to “take a bow and go.”

The proposal was swiftly opposed, with several senators standing and vocally protesting, causing the chamber to descend into disorder.

The incident occurred as the Senate commenced the screening of General Musa for his appointment as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence.
