TINUBU TO FLAG OFF NIGER DELTA INVESTMENT, ECONOMIC SUMMIT IN PORT HARCOURT

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to lead top dignitaries at the upcoming Niger Delta Investment and Economic Summit, an initiative aimed at unlocking economic opportunities and driving sustainable development across the region.

The summit, scheduled to take place in Port Harcourt, is designed as a major investment platform that will bring together investors, policymakers, development partners, and industry leaders to explore viable and scalable opportunities in the oil-rich Niger Delta.

Speaking during the inauguration of consultants for the event, Chairman of the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture, Ideare Gogo-Ogan, described the summit as a strategic move to harness the region’s vast economic potential. He noted that while the Niger Delta is rich in natural resources, it requires coordinated policies and targeted investments to fully realise its economic value.

According to him, the summit will provide a world-class platform for discussions, partnerships, and deal-making that could reshape the region’s economic future.

The event will feature keynote speeches, goodwill messages, technical sessions, and sector-focused forums. Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley is also expected to deliver a keynote address, alongside other global and local stakeholders.

Key areas of focus will include energy transition, oil and gas value chain optimisation, agriculture, infrastructure, the blue economy, manufacturing, technology, and environmental sustainability.
