Senator Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, who represents Kano South in the Senate, has married Aisha Isah, an officer of the Nigerian Air Force.

The wedding ceremony took place on Monday morning at the palace of the Emir of Rano in Kano State and was attended by a small gathering.
The development was confirmed through social media posts by the senator’s aides, who shared photos from the ceremony showing the senator alongside his bride dressed in military uniform.

One of the aides described the union as a blessing, praying for divine guidance and prosperity for the couple.
The marriage, which was not publicly announced beforehand, appeared to be a private ceremony held within the Emir’s palace.

Senator Sumaila, who chairs the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), recently defected from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
