PELLER CLAIMS FAKE DOLLARS WERE SPRAYED AT HIS WEDDING

Popular content creator and livestreamer Peller has stirred reactions on social media after claiming that some of the dollar notes sprayed on him during his traditional wedding to Jarvis were counterfeit.

Speaking during a recent livestream, the TikTok star said he was excited after the lavish ceremony and believed he had received a large amount of money from guests who celebrated with the couple.

According to him, he later took the foreign currency to the bank, only to be told that some of the dollar notes were fake.

“When I got to the bank, they told me the dollars were fake. People that gave me real money, I know them if I see them. They gave me fake dollars,” Peller said.

He admitted that he initially thought he had become a millionaire after seeing the amount of money sprayed at the wedding. He even recorded a video celebrating what he believed was his new wealth before discovering that some of the notes were not genuine.

“I got home after my wedding thinking I was already a millionaire. I used the money to make a video, saying, ‘Hello, Hello,’ thinking I’m rich, but it was fake,” he added.

Peller questioned why anyone would choose to spray counterfeit foreign currency at a wedding instead of celebrating the couple sincerely.

“You people didn’t notice I didn’t talk about the dollar again since last night. Is it by force to spray money?” he asked.

His comments have since sparked widespread reactions online. While many sympathised with him over the experience, others debated the growing trend of spraying foreign currency at high-profile weddings in Nigeria.

Peller and Jarvis have remained among the most talked-about couples on social media since their traditional and white wedding ceremonies, with highlights from the celebrations continuing to trend across different platforms.
