Aero Contractors has introduced a discounted minimum fare of N80,000 for domestic flights across all its routes during the festive season, aiming to ease travel costs for Nigerians.
The airline’s Managing Director, Ado Sanusi, announced the development during a press briefing on Tuesday, stating that the initiative would run until January next year.
“We understand the economic challenges Nigerians are facing, especially with the rising cost of air travel,” Sanusi said. “With the holiday season approaching, we decided to introduce pocket-friendly Christmas prices. Starting at N80,000, these fares will make it easier for Nigerians to travel during this festive period without excessive financial strain.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, tickets for Aero Contractors flights showed an economy Lagos-to-Abuja trip priced at N99,643, with business class fares at N189,167.
Sanusi emphasized the initiative’s goal to reunite families for the holidays without overburdening travelers. “This is our way of giving back to our loyal customers,” he added. “We want families to be able to connect with their loved ones this Christmas without worrying about exorbitant travel costs.”
Despite the fare reduction, Sanusi assured the public that the airline would maintain profitability by factoring in the prevailing economic conditions.
