A teenager identified as Quadri has been killed by suspected cultists in the Itunmeko area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, following a violent clash involving local youths.

According to community sources, the incident happened on Saturday after a disagreement broke out between groups of young men believed to be linked to cult activities in the area. The situation reportedly escalated after Quadri was invited from his home to help mediate the dispute involving his friends.
Witnesses said that shortly after his arrival, the confrontation turned violent, and Quadri and one of his friends were attacked by the opposing group. He was severely beaten and left critically injured at the scene before residents rushed him to a nearby hospital.

A source in the community disclosed that although he received medical attention, he later died from the injuries sustained during the assault.
Reports also suggest that another young man involved in the incident survived the attack after being treated in the hospital.

While there are claims that the area is influenced by cult-related groups, it has been stated that Quadri himself was not a cult member but was caught in the violence due to his association with friends involved in the dispute.

Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident, although there are indications that some arrests may have been made in connection with the attack. Police officials say they are still gathering information.
