GTI Group Wins Inaugural Industrial and Commerce Golf Cup at Ikoyi Club
The inaugural Industrial and Commerce Cup has ended at the Golf Section of Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos, with GTI Group emerging champions after posting a cumulative gross score of 303.
The winning team, made up of Bayo Ali, Joachim Ebegue Afe, Abubakar Lawal, and Paul Tijani, delivered a steady performance to clinch the title ahead of other industry competitors.

AIAH Sausage Limited came second with a net score of 304. Their team included Mayomile Orumgbeja, Ronke Iyiola, Toluwalashe Balogun, and Ademola Banu. Xpress Payment Solution Ltd followed closely in third place with a total score of 307, represented by Babatunde Oyelami, Destiny Oyero, Diana Osmond, and Jimoh Ogunsote.
Speaking after the victory, team leader and former club captain, Bayo Ali, credited their win to teamwork and discipline.
Organiser Pamela Wu said the tournament was designed to bring industry leaders together in a relaxed environment while encouraging meaningful engagement beyond business spaces. She noted that golf provides a unique platform for building relationships and shaping conversations around commerce and industry.
Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, also praised the initiative, describing it as aligned with the state’s ambition to position Lagos as a leading hub for commerce in Africa.
