Osasere Okundaye has made history after becoming Nigeria’s youngest chartered accountant at the age of 16.
The remarkable achievement was celebrated by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, who praised the teenager for her dedication, resilience, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

According to the minister, Okundaye’s success is a clear reflection of the enormous potential of young Nigerians when they are determined and receive the right support.
He described her accomplishment as an inspiration to other youths, encouraging them to pursue their dreams, break barriers, and strive for excellence regardless of their age.

Olawande also commended her parents, teachers, mentors, and everyone who contributed to her academic journey, noting that their encouragement and sacrifices played a vital role in her success.
He added that the Federal Ministry of Youth Development remains committed to supporting programmes and policies that empower young people to reach their full potential, expressing confidence that Nigeria’s future is bright with talented and focused youths like Okundaye.

Her achievement comes about a year after Temilola Blossom Arise, who became a chartered accountant at 18 while studying Economics at the University of Ilorin after successfully passing all five papers in her professional examination.
