A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to consider former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, as his vice-presidential running mate ahead of the 2027 general election.

Eze argued that Amaechi’s political experience and influence within Nigeria’s political landscape make him a strong candidate for the position, noting his role in past electoral victories and national campaigns.

He stated that Amaechi’s leadership track record and political structure would add significant strength to the ADC’s ticket, warning that excluding him could weaken party unity and alienate key supporters.
According to him, Amaechi played a crucial role in earlier political transitions and has the capacity to mobilize support across different regions of the country.

Eze also praised Atiku Abubakar for what he described as efforts to unify the party following its presidential primary, including engagements with former rivals. He said such actions demonstrate leadership, inclusiveness, and commitment to building a strong political platform.

He further expressed confidence that Atiku’s candidacy reflects experience and continuity in Nigeria’s democratic journey, which he believes could inspire broader public confidence ahead of the 2027 elections.
