The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) thwarted a kidnapping attempt targeting a Nigeria Customs Service officer, his wife, and another individual in Bukan-Ari, Lafia, Nasarawa State. Following intelligence on rampant kidnappings, Commandant General Prof.

Ahmed Abubakar Audi deployed the CG’s Special Intelligence Squad, led by Commandant AS Dandaura, for a five-hour operation. The squad engaged a kidnap gang in a gun duel, arresting two suspects, Hassan Ibrahim (23) and Ibrahim Hudu (30), neutralizing two others, and recovering an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, phones, knives, and suspected charms.
