CP Toyin Agbaminoja has assumed duty as the 33rd Commissioner of Police for the Ports Authority Police (Western) Command in Apapa, Lagos, succeeding AIG Olanrewaju Olawale Ishola, who retired on October 16, 2025, after his promotion. Agbaminoja, enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force in 1994 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent, holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from the University of Ilorin (1992).
With a distinguished career spanning operational, investigative, and administrative roles, Agbaminoja served in Kwara State, the IGP Monitoring Unit, Special Fraud Unit (SFU), and Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID). She led anti-counterfeiting operations at NAFDAC’s Enforcement Unit and held key positions at the Ports Authority Police, including DPO Roro Port Division and Area Commander. Her trailblazing firsts include being the first female Area Commander at Idimu (2017), Head of Zonal CID in Zone 2 (2021), Deputy Commissioner at Airport Command (2023), and Oyo State CID (2024).
Promoted to Commissioner in February 2025, she led the Special Enquiry Bureau before her current role. Agbaminoja, who has attended numerous professional courses, pledged to collaborate with maritime stakeholders to enhance port security and foster a safe environment for economic growth. She is married, a mother, and enjoys cooking and reading.
