NYSC begins nationwide verification for Nigerians who studied abroad

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has begun the physical verification of credentials and travel documents for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates registered for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ service year.

According to a statement on its X handle, the exercise runs from Monday, November 10, to Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at designated centres across the country, including Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Bauchi, Osogbo, Port Harcourt, Sokoto, and Yola.

The NYSC said the verification is for prospective corps members whose documents have not been physically checked after completing online registration. Participants must present original copies of their credentials and travel documents, while medical graduates are to provide licenses and registration certificates.

The Corps also instructed that graduates with foreign qualifications must submit evaluation letters from the Federal Ministry of Education to the NYSC headquarters for acknowledgment.

It stressed that only those physically verified and cleared will be eligible for deployment, exemption, or exclusion from service.

Meanwhile, the NYSC recently extended the online registration deadline for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ mobilisation by 48 hours, now ending at midnight on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.Headline news
