Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Yola, Adamawa State, ahead of the formal reception of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Shettima landed at Lamido Aliyu Mustapha International Airport, where he was welcomed by a range of political leaders, including Governor Fintiri.
Other notable attendees included Chairman of the All Progressives Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma; Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni; Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori; Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda; Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya; and Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas.

Also present were Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin; APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; and other political figures.

According to Vice President Shettima’s spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, the visit is part of the formal process of receiving Governor Fintiri into the APC following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Vice President’s visit also aimed to showcase the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda reforms, highlighting how the initiatives are influencing the political landscape and encouraging defections from opposition parties to the APC.
