The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG)
Zone 2 Command Onikan
Lagos State
Attn: AIG Moshood Jimoh
Sir,
COMMENDATION ON PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT AND REQUEST FOR CONTINUED OVERSIGHT OVER AJIRAN MURDER INCIDENTS
The Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR) writes to commend your distinguished office for the professionalism, diligence, and strategic leadership demonstrated in the investigation of the Ajiran community murder cases involving late Mr. Sheriff Ishola Salami and Prince Kazeem Ademola Akinloye during your tenure as Commissioner of Police, Lagos State. We commend your resolute commitment to transparency and the cause of justice.
Your decisive actions, particularly in the arrest of Alhaji Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi and other suspects, as well as the thorough investigative process that led to their arraignment, significantly restored public confidence and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to justice and accountability.

However, we consider it necessary to respectfully bring to your attention emerging concerns regarding the conduct of some operatives of the Delta Force Unit, SCID Panti, Lagos, whose actions in the course of ongoing court proceedings are obviously biased and sympathetic to the accused persons.
This development, if not urgently addressed, risks undermining the substantial efforts and credibility already established through your leadership.
We therefore urge your esteemed office to take appropriate steps to ensure that all officers involved maintain the highest standards of professionalism, neutrality, and discipline, so that the integrity of the case is preserved as it proceeds before a court of competent jurisdiction.
Please accept the assurances of our highest regards.
Yours in struggle
Comrade Alex Omotehinse
President, CHSR
