The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out coordinated airstrikes that eliminated several terrorists in the Bukar Meram area of Southern Tumbuns and the Chikide axis within the Mandara Mountains in Borno State.

According to a statement by NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was executed based on credible intelligence supported by surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

The airstrikes targeted and destroyed terrorist logistics bases, hideouts, and gathering points reportedly concealed within the mountainous terrain, leading to the neutralisation of multiple insurgents and the disruption of planned attacks.
The Air Force said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to weaken terrorist networks and restrict their movement in the North-East region.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, reaffirmed the service’s commitment to sustained intelligence-driven operations in collaboration with other security agencies to restore peace and stability across the country.

He added that air operations will continue to focus on identifying and eliminating terrorist hideouts and logistics infrastructure wherever they are located.
