The Presidency has explained its plan to embark on a nationwide inspection tour of infrastructure, health, transportation, and other development projects across Nigeria.
According to the government, the exercise is aimed at strengthening public awareness of ongoing reforms and achievements under the current administration.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said many Nigerians are not fully aware of the extent of projects executed across the country, despite their visible impact on economic activities and livelihoods.
He noted that the tour will allow journalists and stakeholders to visit project sites directly in order to promote accurate reporting and better understanding of government interventions.
Onanuga said infrastructure development, particularly roads, remains central to economic growth as it supports farmers, traders, and transport operators while improving movement across regions.

He also highlighted that recent federal reforms have increased financial allocations to states, enabling them to execute more capital projects alongside federal initiatives.
However, he raised concerns over the increasing vandalism of public infrastructure, warning that such actions undermine national development and affect all citizens.
The Presidency also emphasized that the media tour is intended to correct misinformation and improve public perception of government performance.

Officials said ongoing projects in rail transport, road construction, healthcare, and social programmes are already visible across different parts of the country.
They cited rail expansion projects, including the Kano–Maradi line, as well as road rehabilitation and gas pipeline developments as key interventions Nigerians are beginning to experience.

In the transport sector, government representatives explained that rail modernisation is helping reduce highway congestion by shifting freight movement from roads to rail networks.

In the health sector, officials said reforms are focused on expanding access to healthcare services, boosting local pharmaceutical production, and attracting investment into the sector.
They added that the initiative is designed to ensure Nigerians can directly see and feel the impact of government programmes across communities.
