Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has announced his endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office, saying the decision was taken in the interest of Osun State and the wider Yoruba community.

Adeleke made the declaration while inspecting ongoing rehabilitation work on the Ilesa–Ife–Ibadan expressway, describing the president as a key political figure whose leadership deserves support beyond party lines.
According to the governor, backing Tinubu was a “moral decision” driven by the need to sustain development projects across Osun State, noting that the president’s origin from the state makes the endorsement more meaningful.

He referred to Tinubu as a son and leader of the region, adding that Osun State considers itself fortunate to have one of its own occupying the nation’s highest office.
The governor also praised the speed and quality of ongoing federal road projects in the state, especially the Ilesa–Ife–Ibadan corridor, saying it would improve transportation and economic activity.

Adeleke highlighted ongoing infrastructure efforts by his administration, including the rehabilitation of several federal roads and the reconstruction of over 300 kilometres of state roads.

He also expressed optimism that the federal government would reimburse the state for funds used in rehabilitating federal roads and urged further approvals for additional road projects in Osun.
