The Presidency has accused Adeniyi Adeyemi of forging an appointment letter purportedly issued from the Office of the President’s Chief of Staff and using it to falsely present himself as the head of a government agency.
According to the Presidency, Adeyemi allegedly operated 34 bank accounts under the names of fictitious government agencies and misled foreign diplomats into attending meetings organised under the guise of official government business.
The Presidency also disclosed that Adeyemi is currently facing an eight-count criminal charge before the Federal High Court in Abuja over the allegations.
Authorities maintained that Adeyemi is not recognised as the head of any legitimate federal government agency and reiterated that the administration has no affiliation with his activities.
