Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has reiterated her commitment to tackling hunger across the country, declaring that “No Nigerian should go hungry.”
She made the statement during the expansion of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) National Food Bank Programme, an intervention designed to strengthen food security and provide nutritional support for vulnerable Nigerians.
The programme will establish and expand food banks across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, deepen collaboration with primary healthcare centres, and provide assistance to malnourished children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and other vulnerable groups.
According to the First Lady, the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that every Nigerian has access to adequate food, improved nutrition, and a better quality of life.
