England and Ghana shared the points after a tense goalless encounter in Boston, leaving qualification from Group L finely balanced heading into the final round of matches.
The Three Lions controlled much of the possession during the opening half but found it difficult to penetrate Ghana’s disciplined defensive structure. Midfielder Declan Rice came closest for England before the break, but his opportunities failed to trouble the scoreline.

Ghana, meanwhile, continued a remarkable trend, extending their run of matches without scoring a first-half goal to nine consecutive games.
The contest became more open in the closing stages of the second half as both teams searched for a breakthrough. England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford produced a crucial intervention when he rushed off his line to deny Prince Kwabena Adu in a dangerous one-on-one situation.

At the other end, Bukayo Saka nearly snatched victory for England with a powerful effort that forced Ghana goalkeeper Benjamin Asare into an impressive save.
The resulting corner nearly produced the decisive moment. Nico O’Reilly’s attempt crashed against the crossbar before Harry Kane fired the rebound over the goal, much to the frustration of England supporters.

The draw preserves Ghana’s impressive defensive record, making them one of the few teams yet to concede a goal at the tournament. For England, however, the performance lacked the attacking sharpness that was evident in their earlier victory over Croatia.

With both nations sitting on four points, neither side has secured progression yet, ensuring that qualification remains on the line heading into their final group-stage fixtures.
