In Akure, Ondo State, a middle-aged trader, Bosede Iluyemi, allegedly killed her elder sister, Omowumi Tewogboye, over an N800 debt for tomatoes and peppers bought on credit. The dispute escalated into violence when Bosede reportedly grabbed Omowumi, causing her to fall and sustain fatal injuries. Omowumi was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Ondo State Police Command arrested Bosede, and DSP Olusola Ayanlade confirmed that investigations are ongoing to ensure justice. The incident has shocked the community, with residents stunned that a minor financial disagreement could lead to such a tragedy.
