Several filling stations in Abuja have reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) following a further decline in petrol’s landing cost, now lower than the Dangote Refinery’s ex-depot rate.
Major marketers such as NIPCO, AA Rano, Eterna, and Empire Energy adjusted their pump prices on Wednesday, November 5.
NIPCO and AA Rano now sell at ₦940 per litre, down from ₦950–₦955.

Eterna sells at ₦945, while Empire Energy dispenses at ₦955, down from ₦959.
Overall, petrol prices in Abuja have dropped by between ₦4 and ₦10 per litre, depending on the station.
NNPCL Retail also reviewed its price to ₦945, while MRS and Ranoil maintained ₦950 and ₦955 respectively, though sources say a further reduction may occur soon.

Landing Cost Now ₦827.04 per Litre
New energy market data shows that the landing cost of petrol has fallen to ₦827.04 per litre as of November 3, 2025 — down from ₦829.77 in late October.
Ex-Depot Prices:
Dangote Refinery – ₦872
Pinnacle – ₦872
NIPCO – ₦870
BOVAS – ₦870
Aiteo – ₦870
AA Rano – ₦870

This means Dangote’s ex-depot price is about ₦45 higher than the current landing cost, and ₦2 more than independent depots.
President Bola Tinubu recently approved a 15% import duty on petrol and diesel to encourage local refining and strengthen Dangote Refinery’s market position — a move marketers say could soon affect retail prices.
