Abiodun Secures APC Senatorial Ticket in Ogun East
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The result was announced by the Returning Officer for the exercise, Wale Bello, at Itoro Hall in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area.
Bello disclosed that Abiodun secured 75,560 votes out of 99,503 accredited votes, giving him a clear victory in the party’s primary election conducted across the senatorial district.
In his acceptance speech, the governor dedicated his victory to God and commended APC members and supporters across Ogun East for their backing throughout the process.
Abiodun also expressed appreciation to party loyalists for their confidence in him, promising not to disappoint the people who entrusted him with the mandate.
The APC primary forms part of the party’s wider preparations for the 2027 general elections across the country.
