Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has tipped France to win the ongoing FIFA World Cup, saying Spain are the only team he believes has the quality to prevent Les Bleus from lifting the trophy.
France have strengthened their status as tournament favourites after an impressive campaign, finishing top of their group with maximum points and victories over Senegal, Iraq, and Norway while scoring 10 goals.

Didier Deschamps’ side continued their dominant run in the knockout stage by defeating Sweden before overcoming Paraguay to book a place in the quarter-finals, where they will face Morocco.
Elsewhere in the last eight, Spain are set to take on Belgium, while England will battle Norway for a place in the semi-finals.
Defending champions Argentina also progressed after surviving a difficult test against Egypt and will next face either Colombia or Switzerland in the quarter-finals.

Speaking about the tournament, Wenger said France have the strongest chance of becoming world champions but warned that Spain possess the technical quality and team-oriented style capable of causing an upset.
According to the former Arsenal boss, Spain’s ability to control possession and execute collective football sets them apart from every other team, even though he believes France remain physically stronger.

Spain recovered from a goalless draw against Cape Verde in their opening match to finish top of their group before eliminating Austria and Portugal to reach the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, England advanced after defeating Mexico and will now face Norway, with a potential semi-final clash against Argentina if both teams progress.
