The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the Federal Government is still utilizing the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System (IPPIS) for lecturers’ salaries.
ASUU’s National President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, revealed in an interview that despite the government’s promise to remove tertiary institutions from IPPIS, the February salary was still processed through the system.
He emphasized that none of ASUU’s demands had been met, and the government’s commitments, including a salary increase and payment of withheld salaries during the 2022 national strike, remained unfulfilled.
Osodeke mentioned that ASUU members would decide on their next course of action.
